Hake's shop was a busy place, so I asked how much work his crew has. He said there are orders for 32 more this year. Seaward's are sold factory direct by the way and they keep their resale value very well. Here are some shots. Meeting Nick Hake Wednesday was truly a thrill for me. It had only been a day earlier when I first even learned of his business Hake Yachts - buiding sailboats in Stuart.I stopped by the Hake Yachts facility over in the Port Salerno commerce park. Hake explained that whe he moved his business to its present location in 1984, his was the only building in the vicinity.Inside, a crew of about 25 full time rkmen were busy with various stages of the sailboat construction process.
